CRATES SADDLES

Crates saddles are still hand-made, one at a time, In a forty thousand square foot plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with concentration on Arena Products; team roping, steer wrestling, team penning, reining, working cowhorse, calf roping, and barrel racing. Crates also offers many models in endurance, trail and pleasure riding. Ownership and management remains with the Crates family; Son-in-law Charles Matthews as Vice-President and General Manager, Elise Crates and Cameron Crates Matthews Secretary and Vice-President, Daniel Crates as president.

Light weight reining saddles made on the Equi-Fit reining tree, Fibreglass Covered Wood, with a very narrow ground seat especially for women. Light select saddle skirting with a soft grain-out padded seat. Finished in a rich natural oil.

Made on the Crates exclusive Equi-Fit reining tree, fibreglass covered wood, with Quarterhorse Bars. The padded seat on the narrow centre pocket is rough-out suede leather. The saddle skirting leather is “Tannery Run”, which may show some range and briar marks.
